On the east side of the park stands of Eucalyptus trees provide a winter habitat for Monarchs. Located in between Los Angeles and San Diego, enjoy the pleasant San Clemente climate that monarchs migrate thousands of miles for. Known for its sunny beaches, sandstone cliffs, world class surfing, Spanish Colonial style, wildlife viewing and much more, San Clemente is a fun and historic beach community.

Beyond the western monarch butterfly San Clemente State beach offers visitors the chance to see many other land and sea animals including birds, foxes, coyotes, sea lions and whales, just to name a few! Learn more about what you can see and do at San Clemente State Beach here!
